Yahoo! Ads or Google Ads
Ok, which do you think is better? I have heard the new beta Yahoo! Ads are paying 1-2 dollars a click. Adsence gives you like 2 cents. Does anyone use Yahoo! Ads?

They are in beta so you have to apply to be a beta user.

Moved to Webmaster Revenue.
I think YPN pays more.

YPN is not available in my homeland
But who said adsense is paying 2 cents ..
It depends on various things
like your niche + competition + psyche of visitors + monetary worth of visitors class.
I get more than $1 clicks on my few websites very regularly.

Yahoo does pay more than Google but I have heard that Yahoo ads are not as targetted as compared to Google ads.

There's no such thing as adsense *only* paying 1-2 cents. With adsense you can get anything from half a cent to $60-$80 a click (used to be more, but those days are over, I believe. Correct me if i'm wrong, tho).
But for generic website topics, YPN is still believed to pay better (when their beta launched, payouts were insane - they have now dropped a bit, but still better some say...)

Maybe I should try yahoo if I get banned from Google. I have made 2.98 from 21 clicks, is that bad?

Uh, if you get banned from Adsense, you'll probably get banned from Yahoo after awhile. How about not getting banned and trying Yahoo Publisher on other pages, so you can make a comparison.

i agree with mong that it depends on what niche you're in. i use both ypn and adsense. after split testing both on my websites, i found that the pages with adsense paid more than ypn. the adsense ads were also more targeted to my content.

I'm not sure how the yahoo ads look on the site, but I like how easily Google adsense can be 'blended' to match your site better.
The payout is probably close the same though. I like to run a quick search on overture.com to see what certain keywords cost there before getting too excited about adding adsense to a site. If anything though... I'd expect adsense to payout a little higher for the exact same ads since Google is used more.
I know from a merchants standpoint though... conversion is better though google...imo.

I have the opposite problem.
They keep e-mailing me asking why I haven't signed up yet.
"You were accepted why the hell are you not a member yet."
LOL... not really like that but you get hte idea.
I guess I will REALLY have to check them out now, ha.

It takes 4-6 weeks for them to accept you... if they do.
YPN pays MUCH more for general traffic. Niche traffic I still use adsense. I bought a site last month that was doing $200/month adsense, switched it to YPN and it quadrupled in revenue.
These high payouts are SURELY not going to last IMHO, as soon as it comes out of beta they'll go way down.

My choice is ypn. not because i am from USA, but it gives good traffic. My client base is USA, but i get response of ypn worldwide.
