Yahoo Publisher vs. Adsense

I have tried Yahoo on 2 sites so far.

The first site was an affiliate product site that people post reviews on. Yahoo did terrible on it because it never targeted the sections right. If people were looking for stereos it'd show ads about Vonage, looking for tv's .. ads about Vonage, looking for new equipment releases.. mortgage ads.

To describe it as awful would give it too much credit. So I pulled it from there.

Now I am trying it on a general content site. So far 1/3 the clicks but the payouts are about twice as much. The targetting is still awful but its closer than before, I am going to let it ride for a week and see if it gets better.

So is this typical of your testing ?
What have you tried ?

Yahoo = Crummy ads, but make way more per click.

Google = Way more clicks, but crummy earnings per click.

I've had two clicks from Yahoo that were $35.00 each!!!!!!
