Paypal still doesn't cater to a lot of countries. In South Africa we can use Paypal to make payment or receive payment, but we can't actually draw the funds into our personal bank account, or receive a cheque. It's a real pain. And I know that there are many countries which have the same problem.
The alternative I use is Alert Pay - but the problem is that many affiliate companies use Paypal for payments, which means that using Alert Pay doesn't solve that problem.
So, what I do is receive some funds in my Paypal account (when I have no option), and then use the paypal account for online purchases and subscriptions)
For sales on my site, I use Alert Pay - as they deposit funds directly into my visa account.
It might be a workable solution for others around the world too.

I would use atm cash(atmcash.com). You sign up and they mail an atm card to whoever you'd like to send money to anywhere around the world. You can then transfer money to that atm card from your checking account either by phone or online. Its really easy and is FDIC insured.

We have to consider the service charges , some service providers are charging to much % for money transfer.
There is a limitation in atmcash.com , we can transfer maximum 1000 $ only :-(

actually with atmcash.com the $1000 max. is only per day, there is a $2500/month maximum, which is what most money transfer co. offer, but this is cheaper

My thought about this one is that it really depends in what country you live in. Paypal is good but some banks in some countries does not support paypal meaning you cant get you earned money in paypal with those banks. Western union on the other hand is fast and reliable but costs more.

I'm agreed with T0d, PayPal is not safe. I found many people over the forums, complaining PayPal frosen their money.
What about Moneybookers? I see only one post about them here. Are they reliable?

Paypal seems quite flexible for online amount transfer. I'm using it for the past 2 years and i never faced any issues.

Try a bank account, Money Transfer and Quick Collect services, paypal and alertpay. In order to receive your money from paypal and alertpay you will need a local bank account in your nearest place.
