Any E-Path Resellers Here??

Hi everyone,
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this but I need some advice pretty urgently.

I'm thinking about going with http://e-path.com.au as a reseller, doing my own credit card payment gateway and need some advice or would like to hear of anyone that's done this.

Three of my clients had their merchant accounts suspended because their shopping carts break up credit card numbers and sends half by email and stores the other half. I've investigated it because its always been OK to do this but apparently it has something to do with the new PCI (Payment Card Industry) rules now being enforced by Visa and Mastercard via the banks which makes a lot of what I do for clients not compliant. Bloody foolish stuff if you ask me. Anyway this has created a massive problem for me. I can't go doing stuff that gets my clients merchant accounts suspended.

Looking for a solution that won't mean having to tell them to go to a real time gateway and PayPal is a no go. E-Path seems to fit the bill and the reseller thing they offer looks promising from where I sit. But I don't want to go rushing in without some honest opionions first. If anyone has any advice or knows anyone who has done this to do their own payment gateway I'd really like to hear about it.

Thank you all.

Billy

Hi Choice 500,
WorldPay is SO expensive. With e-Path there are no transaction charges at all

But I was meaning about signing up for e-Path's reseller thing. This would mean I could have my own payment gateway like WorldPay myself and sell it to my clients. The more I am thinking about it the more I really think it may be worthwhile. But owing and operating my own payment gateway is a pretty daunting thought. I am wondering how much would actually be involved. What do you think??

Cheers

Hi Optix,

Yearly fees only. This is the excellent thing with this mob. Since I posted that question whch is a while back I've decided to become a reseller with them.

Its almost idenitcal to webhosting reselling except its more profitable. I'll be making about £50 per year on each account and I'm still way under the cost of a real time gateway and don't charge tranasaction fees.

This is going to take off big time.

Well e-Path themselves charge $242AUD for their gateway retail. I don't pay anywhere near that wholesale, you can see their reseller pricing, they have it on their site http://e-path.com.au/reseller.html.

I haven't really settled on a final price I will be charging yet, I'm still doing my site. But I can guarantee while everyone else is paying every tme they accpet a credit card, with my new gateway it will be £0. But they will need to charge the card manually into their merchant account.

I haven't been this keen in a long while.
