Anyone interested in partenering a proxy site?

To keep it short, I am new to the whole make money off your website deal. After poking around webmaster forums I decided to make a proxy site and bought hosting off dreamhost.

Today I received an email that my hosting is disabled because the site was generating too much traffic. Anyway, I am getting on average 1000 uniques / day. It's tracked through Google Analytics and yeh.. Today the site has made $3.77 (can't guarantee it to be always this much). I only just put adsense ads back on.

So yeh, I just need some hosting I guess. Not exactly sure how to get the domain name back from dreamhost.. If you can provide hosting, I will split adsense profit

it's not the domain they would have held. You would have gone over your monthly bw. I suggest , you optimize adsense and upgrade your bw.

Sorry my mistake.

My account was 'suspended' due to it taking up too much resources on the server. Bandwidth was well under the requirements.

What do you mean by I should optimize my adsense? Do those figures look wrong?

very. I suggest you figure out why it was suspended.

And upgrade it. Then come back shoot me a pm and I'll help with adsense placements.

Mind you that I have done no promotion except submit it to about 10 proxy directories. All the traffic I've been getting all seem to be from Iran.

I guess I'm just looking for some hosting that allows proxy sites that doesn't cost a lot (I'm a student). This is just a hobby for me right now, but I'm interested in the whole concept of earning money through ads by doing virtually nothing!

cool , I suggest you go to http://freewebspace.net/forums/ and post in the request section "looking for a host who will allow proxy site" then post your requirements. Then they will tell you there offers.

According to analytics one of my proxy sites does approx. 9,000 pviews a day and only gets ~30clicks on ads. I am trying multiple different types of ads to boost up the money but making $ on proxified pages is hard.

With that said I have a site doing 1/4 that many pageviews but making about 3-5x more.. it all depends on location of visitors too.

All in all I would NOT suggest trying to run a proxy site ona shared account that's stupid they WILL boot you off I guarantee it. I had to tweak my server a TON to handle the loads the proxy site takes. Even w/image hotlinking disabled the requests are still seen and have to be handled. While I do approx. 9k real pviews a day on that one site the remote loads, and direct links are around half million.
