What ads? Google ads maybe?
What is your site about? What CMS does it use?
I guess you can start here: https://www.google.com/adsense/start/get-started/
Let us know if you have more specific questions.

You can join ad networks and they will assist you implementing the ads. Don't know what kind of website you have but you can join Adsense if you qualify. But if not, you can join Adsupply or Taboola f you want banners or native ads or Admaven if you want popunder ads.

I think most networks on the list are pretty strict , no? (similar to Adsense).

Adsense seems to be the strictest. At least that's what the article says.

Usually, if it's Google Ads - you can add them using text widgets and add them on a sidebar or footer.

If you want to add them in your blog post - open a blog post in edit mode, switch your view from visual to text (top right corner), and add the code anywhere you want.

Google AdWords has guides how to create your ad and get the code.
