Revenue from spam traffic!

Hello,

I had a forgoten website that i did not have the time to work on it. Yesterday I did check the traffic log and I found there are 100+ unique visitors everyday.
these visitors did post spammy comments full of links and ads.

I have two questions:

Are these visitors human visitors or they are robots?

Can I get some revenue from this traffic? or their clicks on the Ads wont be counted?

thanks

Believe or not... some of them are willing to pay if your website pages got pr 2 more.
Just write everywhere that you use "nofollow" tag and report to Google about spam right away.
Suggest them to advertise on your pages.
Good way to offer subscription and charge them monthly.

I don't think you should support spam. It's just wrong, and contaminating SE results.

Remember that quality and editorial integrity are important.

Arrow Decisions

When Google provides you with an AdSense advertising code, they trust you'll use your best judgement before plastering this precious advertising revenue generator on something which might look bad, for them AND their advertisers.

As far as I know, you're entirely free to paste the code on "spam pages" but in the same way, they're free to (eventually and at any time) close you account if it's obvious that you went too far off.

Google has a business model to protect and I deeply respect that.

As a general rule of thumb, staying away from such ventures is better... for your long term financial health.

Just my 2 cents -- good luck ; )

You will find that many times these are spammers using nothing more than automated scripts to allow them to make posts so you will not make much if anything from them. The best thing to do is to develop the site as you intended to and look for quality traffic and not spam such as you are receiving. You will be much better off for it in the long run and reap the benefits from your hard work once you have built the site up.

Good Luck!

I think you are right. I just disabled the comments, and now spammers have no reason to visit the site, the traffic is decreasing and I guess I will work on the site and get quality traffic. As an Adword advertiser myself I dont like to see spam clicks on my ads to cost me money, so it wont be fair to do it to other advertisers.
Anyway, thank you for the advice and Happy New Year
