Estimate on design concept

Hi.. In a round about estimate. How much would it cost to design a website like bizrate.com or nextag.com? Perhaps with better design concept then them too.

I have some webdesign\mysql\php skills but probably not enough to tackle a site comparable to those.

I have no idea what a site like bizrate would cost. It certainly isn't a one man effort. They claim to employ 100 people.

It may fall into the field of "you can't afford it if you have to ask".

My question is has anybody ever used them? I gather they are a PPC service. How do they compare price wise with AdWords and how is the conversion rate?

thousands and thousands...they are similar to cnet also. but, if you generate enough traffic, ad dollars would more than cover that. who knows though?

Ryan, guess this is where you found me. I got one E-mail from ya, with the exact same text... Didn't reply, kinda because the question, like compar points out, often translates to "too much if you have to ask". We get so many RFQ on regular basis that we have to weed out some of the one's where we know a) the job is too big for us b) the question is "informational" and not "transactional"... someone "just currious" or the competition trying to find out more about our company.

It is not overly complicated. Could be done very easily using php, but no question it would not be a $500.00 design, but in the same token a site like that can easily convert and profit if marketed correctly.
