Question about ad placement on my pages

Hi,

I hope this is the right forum. I have a question about the placement of my adsense ads, particularly on the pages where my articles are. www.gardenlistings.com/Perennials.htm for instance. I'm trying avoid looking like one of those made for adsense sites. I know when I end up on one of those sites I instinctively hit the back button. Of course I want paople to see them but I'm just wondering if I should keep them out of the article itself. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

I would like to suggest that you place on the end of the article one 728x90 leaderboard, same colours you use on the other block. Use a diferent channel to track results.

Place on link unit 160x90 (4 links) on the left column...track the results with a different channel.

Then tell us the results...

I like to put adsense on the left hand side of the page and at the bottom after the articles. This seems to produce a good CTR while not appearing to be a made for adsense site.
All the best,
Rebecca

while I'm no expert - something I read recently made me think - as the highest paid adds are shown first - if you place only one add block - you'll allways get the highest return

That's true. If possible use 160x600 - this generates the most revenue on my sites. When I started my site I didn't even know about AdSense.

I had to implement AdSense into an exisiting layout which wasn't designed for AdSense. For example, check http://www.aqua-fish.net/show.php?cu...article&id=131 to see how I did it. It is different for fish/plants/biotopes, but I'm not here to spam forum with my links. Check the rest of my site for other ads by yourself.

People who are interested in articles read articles. Those who are interested in ads, click on ads .
