BIG Decision to make .... need your help!

Im wondering what would do better out of these sites ......

1) A joke site
2) A site full of links to other joke sites

3) A search engine

4) A site with a list of other good sites but only a limited number, as the sites on this site are the best.
5) A site with a list of other good sites but with a unlimited number (like a search engine)

6) A personal site filled with ads

Please consider that i want to make money, get loads of hits, and want to do well in general when making your decision (well who doesn't want money, fame ....!)

A search engine site would get Zero hits. Everybody knows about and uses established search sites for that.

How about a site with useful, unique content?

Damn!

Why does the truth hurt. I have my own site www.fight.net.tc .... but ..... its alot of hard work, and i guess it is unique and content too. BUT .... my hits aren't good at the mo. So i thought i might invest in something. (buying a .com domain and making it big, jus not sure what i want thas all!)

Ogrish.com gets a bunch of hits because of the pictures. You could do pictures of fights, etc?

You really are expecting too much too soon. Without the right promotion you aren't going to get loads of hits each day. You aren't even listed in the search engines yet. Just wait.... a bit of patience can go a long way.

rotten.com gets a lot of hits too. But if you are serious about all this doing good stuff, you need to update your site every day!

Well i have listened to all these comments. I agree with Pimpen, and i am not going to be commited to updating everyday, but maybe once a week. Also . i am free during my hols so i will do it then.

I am working on a secret project thanks to you ALL! you made me realise what a true website is, as johns said "unique content", i have abandoned all the above ideas, and am making something unique, which i will enjoy making, further details will be released soon

My next problem is I need hosting. Someone please contact me. I want cheap, or free temporary hosting and i will link to you alot, if you can sort something out for me. Thanks.

I watched this program on TV last night (Chanel 4, Lock Up Your Sons) it was about fighting. Backyard wrestling to be more specific. Maybe you could do a cleaner one of them pc-clever? XHM was one of the 'cults', see if you can find out about them.... if you dare.....
