Counting Page impressions with multiple ads?

Simpest form of the question: If I put adsense in three different places on the same page (of a blog), will each page view be counted once or, since each of three advertising blocks were shown once, will it show three times?

Complicated version: I am now putting adsense up on all my blogs just as a common way of counting traffic, if I put up multiple adsenses on one of the blogs, will the impression count by counting ad views or visitors?

The reason that this is not the same question is one one blog, my designer each entry automatically includes a new instance of the adsense block within each article. Will it count those differently than if I had one in the margin which does not change depending on which article they are reading.....
