We first went to paysystems when we needed credit card processing, but since they rely solely on fixed packages we had to go with paypal for the time being. We allow clients to customize their packages, therefore necessitating dynamic billing, which paysystems couldn't provide. It's going to be much easier when we finally finish getting the merchant account setup with the bank so we can do our own processing

Thanks. Wait until you see the new layout for the merged company, though. It's going to be amazing. We're planning to release all of the currently unofficial services and new features with the new dynamic flash layout system. I'll be sure to make a post about it when it's all ready to go.

@ Anthony, Who or what are VSD?
Cause one of your lot (may of even been you), contacted my site offering services, I replied but have not heard from them since. So I'm still wondering... What do VSD do?

I am curious...what do you mean by fixed packages vs. dynamic billing?
Do you mind expounding briefly? Thanks.

Cheers
James

We allow clients to select what features they want their hosting package to include, and create them a custom price quote based on their requirements. Since the price varies from client to client, we need to be able to bill clients any price on-the-fly without having to create custom merchant billing packages for them.

It's entirely possible that one of our staff members may have contacted you at some point, though I can personally find no record of such an email being sent to you. We send out emails to any websites which seem to be in need of a redesign, have slow loading times, etc. We provide flexible design, development and a variety of hosting services catered specifically to each client. Since you didn't receive a reply I'm inclined to believe that the email didn't come from us, as we closely monitor all incoming and outgoing emails. If you'd like more information, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Anthony

Thanks for the explanation, I always like to know what the limitations of our business are so that we can make changes to accomodate the needs of every merchant.

Thanks again.

If you think that you might not be making many sales (less than $1,000) - I recommend a third party processor, i.e. paypal, Paysystems, 2checkout, etc. Paypal reminds me of kid stuff actually. I am actually setting up a 17 yr old who wants to sell his items online (of course his father is the signer) but he was doing everything via paypal & he wants to pay us via paypal or their debit card. Plus if you do use Paypal - set up another bank account only for them. I had someone that was using them - ran into some problems & Paypal froze her account for 6 months.

There is also a certain air of respect if you will if you show that you accept the credit cards on your own instead of via Paypal.

Here is a pretty good comparison: http://207.99.126.29/merchant.html
