One dollar clicks!
A friend of mine, lawyer, told me last night that he was spending $1.25 per click and about $7K per month. That seems amazing to me. I pay about $.10/click.
I got excited and grabbed four domains last night in his area. I'll see if I can fill them up with content, send some links, collect me my share of $1.25 clicks.
Do one dollar clicks sound like alot to anyone else or am I the only one who has been living on a tight budget?

$1 clicks are very good actually. Lawyer, attorney, mortgage these niches are pretty much hot (also mesothelioma) and pay good. Just do some math, 100 clicks on those $1 clicks and you got the check for this month

BTW, my lawyer friend said he spent about $7K/month from which he was generating about $14K in revenue. He was a little vague when it came to breaking it down by amounts per client (and conversion rates and LTV of customers)

I know some that spend $10/click. $1 is not that high at all.

Toddw, what sector or keywords or other hints can you give us to where the gold is hidden? (I mean, where people are paying $10 for a click). I'd like to go get me some.....

We are paying £9 ( $18 ) for top keywords for some of our clients and they are spending over £50k per month. It's not really a big deal. As long as the return is there from the advertising spend, it is well worth it. They bring in near £500k in business per month.

WOW! Maybe I'll start building some websites for natural search aimed entirely at the high value crowd. Once I get some traction, I'll contact the people paying for clicks and see if they want to buy/advertise direct and cutout the middle man (Mr. google).
Has anybody tried this? Would it work?

It's interesting the topics that bring in big money for me (adsense wise.. also affiliate in the first case)... I'll pass along a couple out of the goodness of.. whatever it is:
- printer ink
- frontline (flea medication)

Well, as long as we're sharing..... But, remember that I'm the one who thought dollar clicks were a big deal..So a "big" click for me is when you get more than half a dollar per click....
Big Earners for me (per click)
University online education
link removed
Medium earners for me (per click)
Middle school & elementary education
music education
art education
Tiny earners per click (ie pennies per click)
Learning games
Anything related to link removed SEO & Online marketing
Go figure....

If you look at their financial statements you will be able to see numbers that support that they still payout more than 50% to publishers. It may be that different topics pay better with different audiences. My best topic is a technology that many people know about and my traffic comes from India. Don't ask what technology, I won't tell.

Quite an interesting thread here, I guess I should be getting in on this and start deploying some sites in these sectors.

Thats a very high payment. Personally I think its mad
Imagine someone with a high CTR. They can make loads if they have a very closely well optimized related site.
I would love to get an advertiser like that

I have done a fair amount of google ppc as an advertiser (I earned a google refrigerator last year - google it to learn more). I've always made money by keeping my bids low. I tend to average something in the low teens per click.
But then, i have a conversion rate on visitors of half a percent and only bill them $19.95 (a month).

When I was in the online retail business, paying $4-$5/click was not unusual for the product line we were in, especially for the most common phrase. I have a site for that product line right now and the most I've seen were a little over $1/click in adsense.

Thought it was ironic you guys were talkin about it.. I was schemin this idea for months. I'd pay $1.. but I already have traffic. I just want to help some people out and reinvest in more quality traffic!
