Adsense International - Lower CPC than domestic?

I just looked thru all my adsense accounts calculating the revenue per click.

I own one site that is a site.co.il (Israeli) and which has a significant international following.

It has by far the lowest average revenue per click of any of my sites.

Is this typical?

I might test this. It would explain a post I made elsewhere, where I was saying that recently our returns have been quite low and the price of local search bids had gone up.

If non-US sites or non-TLD sites are the reason for them not doing well, then it would be another explanation (and less sinister ) for the disparity.

How long have you had the Israeli site out of interest?

I just bought it in the last month. In fact, while it's mine an has had my ads on its for awhile, we have not yet transferred the hosting since I'm still trying to get the database to come up properly.

Well there is a Basic rule... US & UK traffic always rocks Adsense.
