I'm making most of my net money on affiliate sales through a few hundred different domains that I own such as m a g a z i n e s u b s c r i p t i o n s.com (less the spaces) and some others, some that I probably shouldn't mention as their maybe childrean around

However I am planning to start to develop real sites on some of my main domains to start getting more SE traffic, not just type-in domain traffic.

Do you really generate much traffic from just type in domains?

not heaps compared to other people I know. But across the board probably about 3500 unique well targeted type-ins a day.

What is the reasoning behind putting space between the letters in magazinesubscriptions (besides the simple fact alone, that doing so de-links it), LB?

I'm a bit challenged about marketing concepts and also SEO, and I am just curious why you did this here.

Some people don't want other sites to come up in the search results when people search for the domain.

Definitely. Always treat the customers right, and let the money come in naturally. If a customer isn't happy, refund the money. Simple as that.

I think it is more likey an effort to stop spammers harvesting the domain from the forum post and sending spam to the domain which could have a catch-all.

Sometimes we just should not post our site urls in plain text. I once asked about one of my domains versus a competitors domain regarding certain keywords. My worst mistake - that post in an SEO forum now ranks # 3 for the keyword - ahead of both the sites in question - and I also pointed out in the thread the nasty things my competitor was doing and how I was planning on get ahead of him. Now when he checks for the keywords to see how his site is doing, he gets to see my post. Argh!

I made $9,000 since i have been in the online business world. I started out around 2 years ago now (actually made all that money this year though).

This year i am looking for a regular income as opposed to large amounts here and there. I think i will be looking to make $1,000/month through advertisments on my forum.

My best month back in 2001 was $48,761.52. I Remember a number like that I however was robbed blind by a partner that left me near bankruptcy. So I am slowly rebuilding. I think by the end of the year, keeping fingers crossed, I am above that. Eh but who knows.

Consider yourself lucky, I wouldn't mind a tenth of that

What were you doing? Affiliate programs + good SEO?
