Making money of 2 sites.

I would like to know what you think is the best way to get the most I can out of them money wise?

I don't want to use any PPC network such as adsense etc.. I want something that's direct between me and the buyer. Something like TLA. However with TLA I only made $4.50 with the first site. So how can I maximize my potential (Do I have any?)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
