Hey stacy-
...you make a good point about that when you mention the number of foreclosures on homes out there. It's a bad sign of the economy. However, I only took a brief course in Econ in college, and that doesn't qualify me as any kind of expert on the economy, but I also believe that one other IMPORTANT factor that will affect sales is time coupled with technology...
...reguardless of whether people are poor, they will buy products when they can or want to...and the fact that it's now become more mainstream to buy a 30$ Brand new insured (by Ebay and Paypal) DVD Player or such an item online rather than paying a retail price somewhere in the hundreds possibly by shopping at the mall somewhere.
People know now how much money you can REALLY save by just "ebaying" an electronic device or similar item... and the knowlege of this is growing- it's a one way street with this... It's certainly not just a fad or something that will go away in a year or so...
So, I think that overall, online spending will only stay constant or grow...
Just my 2 cents...
Thanks,
-J
