Talking Offline Marketing

Hi folks, not sure in I can put this here so please forgive me if I posted in the wrong area. I do some offline marketing during the tax season for a well known Company. Lately, I have been stopping by local businesses and giving them a dozen of Krispy Kreme donuts. I introduce myself and explain that I may be able to help them increase their sales by 20%.

Before I can get 10 minutes away from their place of business, they are calling me on my cell phone and wanting to get their taxes done and want to talk about how I can help them market.

Some of you may frown on working offline but I`ll take honest money anyway I can get it. I have an ongoing deal with Krispy Kreme where I pay $3/Doz.

I bought 20 Dozen for sixty bucks and my ROI so far has been $400.00 and hopefully a lifetime client. although most of you are probably a lot more successful than I am, I just wanted to give back.

hope this helps some else that might be struggling.

I do a lot of offline marketing. I have ads running in several magazines, and I attend trade shows. I have representatives that talk to people in our niche and give them stickers, bumperstickers, decals, hats, shirts, etc...

Getting out and meeting people has been a lot of help for our online business.

I have a real unique niche. I offer them online services such as hosting and web design. But I am also a media outlet where I write stories on new products and businesses. Because of the traffic I pull in I can also offer direct advertising opportunities as well as indirect....

I am looking to offer more if I can find the write business partner who can work on all the technical aspects of my business while I market.....

Hmmmm.... I guess you got me there. I thought it was obvious that I do offline marketing as well as online. Sometimes, I can get caught up in online marketing and forget about the good old fashioned B 2 B marketing.

I am the Marketing Manager for two of the local Liberty Tax in my area during the tax season. During the season, I will visit about 50 businesses a day. I introduce myself, hand them a dozen Krispy Kremes and explain to them I have about 3,000 clients that will visit one of my offices over the next several months. I also explain to them, that those clients will also be on the look out for discounts of local area businesses.

I close by letting them know that if they have discount coupons or are running specials, I will put them in my stores. The response is overwhelming. If they do not have any coupons, they go and get them made. Who does`nt like free advertising?

There are several variations I use with this marketing ploy and it`s a sure bet that some of you know more than I do. This is just one of the tools I use to market products offline.

I hope this explains it better

David
