Sale was going to happen, but then we couldn't work out the contract details and I ended up just telling the buyer to forget it.

It was offered for sale at $400,000.

Received several offers, up to $500,000, but all of them included terms I couldn't accept. Payment plans, etc. Some even wanted me to work for free maintaining v7n for 6 months after the sale.

Pfft.

wow this might be a sale of the century lol... i believe that it's also pretty appropriate amount considering that v7n is a 3 letter domain

500,000 is a big money. But if v7n can earn 200,000 a year, that's a good decision.

I think this site worth more than 500,000 if we see things in a longer perspective. This site can generate more than 500k IMO. And he also added that all the deals include some unfair terms. So all and all I think it's a good decision.

Half a million minus conditions could be considered a generous offer.

John - Can you tell us what sort of people are interested in buying? Are they hosting companies? Individuals who want the cash flow?

PS = how much do you think a great 3 letter domain is worth? I'm the proud owner (but am not actually using) www.T4L.com -

Mabye it's time we started making our own websites, all you need is a website and a large amount of people wanting to come to it for some reason.

personally if i was in your position the only terms acceptable would have been

large cash sum, and a wage to continue moderating and maintaing site for at least 6 months, afterwords you can opt out at your leisure, and the the large cash sum up front

personally im glad your still here, because i rather have you than a souless corporate admin
