Does Having an Adwords Campaign Hurt Natural Search
I am currently running a handful of Adwords campaigns for some new sites that I've launched. The problem is that during the first few weeks of a link building campaign it seemed that I was receiving decent search numbers, for it's age. However, once I started an Adwords campaign for one of the sites, it's natural search rankings dropped off.
Keep in mind indexed pages haven't changed and backlinks have only increased. Furthermore by using Google's webmaster tools I see that it is recognizing my link building campaign for both sites.
Yes I am aware of the sandbox effect, no this is not my first rodeo. I'm just perplexed as to how this could happen, just seems supicious, after all it would be to Google's benefit to keep a sites natural SE rankings low while a campaign is active.
Your thoughts.
