Can someone estimate how much this guy's making off ads?

I emailed him about it and he didn't reply (he usually does because he respects my site and status) so he must be making quite a hefty amount.

He does frequent cash giveaways in the form of Club penguin game cards. And right now, he just announced he was giving away 2 more cards (60 dollar value) in a contest.

He's got adsense and google ads. but aren't those only pay-per-click? so they only pay you if you click on the ad and it sends the clicker to another link, right?
well, i've been checking the site 3-4 times a day and still haven't clicked on an ad yet.

so how much do you think he's making from that?

also, are adsense and google ads trustworthy? they both require like a social security number or some kind of tax number.

ALL the marketing groups that ARE trustworthy will want your SSN / Tax ID so they can process the payments legally...
The ones that don't ask for that info but are still based in the US are ones to be wary of.
Some networks, like the one I'm with, are based in other countries where they don't have to file that info.

Theoretically, it's possible to get clicks that are worth more than $1 each, but they're few and far between, and it's rare that a site can get that sort of deal going without being a high quality site itself.

So do you think he's making money from people just looking at the ads on his site? not even clicking them?

Yes, there is such a thing as CPM ads, even in Google AdSense. But they just don't earn as much as CPC ads do.

I use adsense and have been for over a year. It pays for a click but it also pays per thousand impression(Ad view).

Adsense is trustworthy. There has not been one single story yet, on the internet about it screwing anyone over, but I definatly would get worried by the Gov't when you start cashing big checks from google.
