Looks good, but your margins are a little screwed up in Firefox. For example you have more left padding than right on the bit of text that says "With Stringer Systems you can create your own custom computer either from scratch or by choosing a “Base Model”" and no left padding at all on "If you know what you want your computer to do but don’t know what should or shouldn’t go into your machine" - you should be consistent about the padding you use otherwise the page will tend to look a bit lopsided.

The layout, overall, is attractive and has good potential. However, it strikes me as all being way over-sized. Everything below that tab menu could be at least 50% smaller. Contain everything in a smaller space and I think you end up with a really nice professional looking website. Other random thoughts:
-Having a tab menu above and below the logo is a bit awkward.
-Phone number is too concealed. I would make it more prominent.
-The cart/checkout box is scrunched up against the side of the page and appears sloppy and out of place.
-While it looks good, I realized you have a third tab-style menu, it's just gigantic.
-A lot of unused space at the bottom of the page. Also have a giant black box that is empty.
-The text "Read Our Full Blog" appears out of place just sitting at the bottom of the News section.

Overall, a lot of potential to the site. Could definitely condense a lot of stuff into one tab menu across the top of the page or beneath the logo. Then downsize/condense the other stuff on the page and it will allow you to bring "Latest News" and other features closer to the top of the page. Reduce font sizes.

Good site, good design, but I very long loaded page. It's not very good for site. I think it is necessary to make more spaces at the text

I seem to be following chrisnorton around, but I have to agree. As overall attractive the site is, everything seems to be screaming at you. I understand the desire to make the text big enough to be easily read, I'm guilty of it myself, but generally everything seems oversized.

I really like the color scheme, but not crazy about the font selections. In particular times new roman looks a little "wild west" to me.

The issues that were already mentioned regarding your phone number, cart etc. are also showing up in Safari, so I would expect they are a generally construction issue and not a browser specific problem.

The drop menu over the logo seems a little strange, I would consider locating that info in the main menu bar.

I'm guessing you have something planned for the big black box at the bottom.

Cool site though. Looking forward to seeing the revisions.

Thank you everyone for you thoughts and suggestions

I am currently working on revisions now, should have an update in a couple of days.

I am a one man band at the moment and juggling everything (building computers, invoices, accounting, stock taking ahh!), but it's worth it

Stringer Systems (my business) is the first site i have every designed and coded. i started learning HTML and CSS about 2 months ago and i'm glad i did, and still learning (i knew basic html before-hand).

So yeah, thats my story lol, Thanks again everyone, updates soon

That's really cool. If we were on the same continent, I might buy from you.

I would, however, create links out of the four base models at the bottom of the main page, linking to the buy/design process.

Like a previous guy mentioned, everything seems "over-sized." This leads to a lot of dead space between the sections which looks a bit odd.

Also, I wasn't sure where a lot of your links would actually take me. Perhaps you could add either alt tags to the linked images, or a small mouse-over tooltip using javascript.

Another thought, the main logo and the menu aren't centered on each other. It looks odd. I would suggest either centering the main menu or moving the logo over to the left.

The whole page is centered, why not the menu?

i dont like how the 'latest news' box scrolls. scrolling is lame IMHO. There is also a big black box at the bottom that looks out of place to me.

The site is coming along though. Try some things and definitely work on getting so links to the site. Good luck.
