I don't think its advisable to directly put on the main core of your site in the index page. Customize your page according to its category. But if your main target is on the recipe only try to add up some spice by putting a sample image of those ice cream cakes variants that you have...They are more likely to appreciate or be more interested to it if they see pictures...

I think you're very knowledgeable about ice cream making.. but when it comes to food, I would prefer to see images rather than a gallery of ice cream ingredients. If the picture looks good, I'd love to learn how to make it :p

As for your design, I think the background looks dirty and the text needs more contrast.. I was expecting to see something colorful and appetizing

I think you already have great content.. just need to present it in an attractive way.

Nice one claire! Yeah exactly! It would be better if you put the recipe in to images. Because it would be effective to the reader to look for it.Plus they will be curious for the recipe

I think your site lacks images - exciting images of ice-cream cakes. It would be great to see how they look like.

Cool design! here are some suggestions.

• Categories don't have easy access. At the moment when you want to see the categories you can either scroll down to the bottom of the page, or open the categories page which loads a flash cloud. I suggest making a category navigation as a dropdown from the button in the top nav, so you don't have to scroll down or wait for the flash to load.
• Add images, those cakes can be delicious but if you don't show them people won't be interested in the recipes!
• If you want people to stick around, add a forum to allow visitors to ask questions/discuss, or add more social networking components.
• The about us page could use more content and some images.

Lovely site - brilliant design nicely integrated. Good use of Wordpress.
Only negative is I don't like the security code box on the comments form at the bottom of the page - doesn't really look like a text box, and the way it changes when you mouseover makes it look more like a button than a textbox.

Needs more pics! Food always sells itself by the way it looks, and if you are giving out recipes, a picture of the final product would help. Give your readers something that they can compare their work to should they use the recipes.

That tag cloud is annoying. While on the page of your recipe categories, I could not get the cloud to stop and wondered if what I wanted to click on was actually clicked. I could not tell because the thing was going way to fast. Can that be fixed?

I think that the template you picked looks nice, but not necessarily for Ice Cream. Ice Cream is comfort food, and a happy place for some. While I am not saying run out and find some clowns or put a party template up, but the feel needs to be more happy and loose and promote creativity for Ice cream. The template you are using I would liken to more of a Tuscan feel, something along the lines of pasta, olives, breads etc.
