Review: Muttr.com

Hey everyone,
I launched http://www.muttr.com on September 30th, 2009, and it has been growing pretty nicely each and every day. To date Muttr has been reviewed as one of the top 50 amazing tech start-ups of 2009, reviewed by Killerstartups, reviewed by thenextweb, and more. Each review has been extremely positive and I feel the entire web community will benefit from Muttr.

As you can see, the slogan is "Just Vent!" This alone should describe what the site is about

But, anyway, I would like to see what everyone's opinions, comments, etc. truely are, so I came here to see what's up

This is still BETA, and I will keep it in BETA until I feel that it is where I want it to be. Fortunately, I have been able to continue making it more user-friendly as it goes. More changes are in the works so feel free to make suggestions, but keep in mind the development team (me) could possibly be working on it already.

Hope you enjoy the site! It's been an exciting ride so far.

The site looks great, I suggest:

-adding a bad word filter for inputs, otherwise display a message saying that it's for 18+ y.o.
-the signup and vent functionalities work from a modal dialog. I don't really like forms being displayed in a modal because of accessibility reasons, but if it works with all browsers and platforms then you shouldn't have to worry about it.
-the mobile version doesn't allow registration?

These are just small details, good work!

very good suggestions hades. I have had that bad word filter idea for awhile now, however it's still in BETA, and I am still pretty new to programming so that will be around the corner lol. It does state in the terms that you must be 13+ to use the site.

the modal dialog works the same on every browser I am starting to agree with you though, as if someone does not have javascript enabled, it's quite troublesome.

The mobile version is meant to be a simple basic site. Mainly for people to browse through 'muttrs' and post if need be. I don't want registering available on it. You can still login and such though. I will probably add signing up to mobile in the future though, it's just not a priority right now.
