Review: urloz.com

Any review will be appreciated

Hello everybody!

A new project, a new website!

urlOz :: Seo + Sem + Smo data analysis and value estimation for any URL

What is your opinion about the design and the website domain name? I know there are a lot of tools like this one but i'm sure it will be a "killer"! at least i hope so!

http://urloz.com/

thanks!

Hello! I am making this review is as a simple visitor to your website. I’m neither a designer nor a SEO expert.

I like your website design and domain name, but there were a few things that bugged me:
- The title tag of the homepage is a bit too long. Perhaps it would be better to put the stats about your website’s visitors on the page
- The “Search Engines”, “Social Networks” and “Extra Information” are a bit hard to view. Maybe making the text just a little darker would do the trick.

What I liked the most about your website was being able to turn the ads off. The design is really slick and professional. Congratulations!

Liked the site, even used it a few times!

The only thing uncomfortable with my eyes (as a normal visitor) is this:

No, not the green, I actually like the color It's the shape and size+color of the font. What firefox add-on are you suggesting? Can you give me the name or link?

The images look plain, some of it looks very pixelated that it's hard to read. But overall the site is quite decent and neat

Ive ignored other peoples comments just so my review isnt tainted.

I like it good features etc. But when I put in a website then want to go back to the main page I cant? The headers on top of each box are almost invisible for me to read also. The light green and slightly darker green are very hard to read. I had to high light it to read it.

Also when you immediately arrive at the website it is not obvious what the website actually does.

thanks william!

you must wait until the website get all data because if you refresh the page or hit the back browser button before the script had done it's query the website will be analyzed again! normally it take something like 10-30 seconds!

now. i'm experiencing some problems with ie browser, but in mozzila ,chorome and opera everything looks ok!

yes.. it's a little hard to read! will do something about it i...

Well, you should have done tests with all browsers before promoting your service/site

That's not very professional.

It is also not very professional to "use" text that is hard to read. Think about usability.

The function "Adds OFF" does only toggle, not hide() ... besides that, it must be "Ads OFF".

I was not aware of that! tested only in IE7 and IE8!

Hey, for the domain est. value, is there any way you could have a box for people to select the currency they use? I am in the USA and know the usa currency. lol

Also, does ones websites states update automatically when they generate another new report? For example, i know my homepage is xhmtl valid and it's saying i have 6 errors?

Other then that, i like the new changes you made. The site has changed a lot since you created this review thread.

Hi snakeair!

I thought about that! i'm from europe and here we have (€) but in most of the world is the $! will do something about that!

you can update the statistics every 24 hours!

you can see your css/html errors and warnings with just a click and try to fix them in the meantime!

in your case i see you are right! the script shows 6 errors but the code is ok! ... on my "To do" list

Thanks!

In general okay. Only thing i found annoying were the ads both left and right from the main content. For some smaller resolutions, it really doesn't display nice.

Try blending them a little better.
