Review: TECHOD.com
Hi,
I'd like a few reviews of my site, http://techod.com/, if you wouldn't mind.
Please review whatever you feel you're able to.
Thanks,
Jason

Even though i don't like the low quality review given above, this member is right. Your logo/header image needs to be spiced up a little more. I had mine the same way as yours till i have a custom header image created from a friend. The logo is the first thing people see when they land on your blog. Brand yourself with a real header image and put a slogan in the header.
Where is your ABOUT page? What is the blog about, what are your goals for the blog or what is your history in the online world? Try to add something in your about page. It's hard to judge what your blog is about from landing on the blog. Now if i was to search around for 10 to 15 minutes, i'd get an idea what your blog is about.
10 blog posts on the homepage and ton's of blank space in the side column. Either add more stuff to the side column as in recent comments, popular blog posts, links to your fan pages..etc The side column is useless right now. You need to work on adding stuff in there. Perhaps some 125x125 banner ads in there if you can sell a few spots.
You have a author resource box it looks like under your blog posts and yet you don't have anything written in it. I wrote stuff in mine. I got a lot of stuff to work on right now online so i'm cutting this review a little short.

Can you try to get into a little bit detailed in your reviews? Check out this sticky thread.

Thanks very much for your reply Snake, I completely agree, the sidebar and about page is certainly something I've been thinking about.
The header, about page, sidebar, and resource box gives me something to work on for now. That as well as content and a touch of link building should keep me busy for a bit.
Depending on how long it takes me to do it, I'll create another thread for some more opinions once it's done, unless that isn't allowed?

Just post a response in this thread when you made some changes. In the mean time more people will hopefully review your blog and you can read those replies and address those.

I like the general look of the site.
Light and simple. Something I think fits the niche very well.
I agree with the fact that the logo needs to be changed all together. It was the first thing I notised. It is tool big and it looks poorly done.
I would bring it down to about half the size.
You could either hire a logo designer or buy a pack with easy to change logos.
It needs some spice to make the site pop.
I would remove the links in the images. It just sends the user to the same image in the same size. This makes the users leave the site in my opinion. There is a plugin that does this automatically.

Generally, the site has a very clean design.
One minor thing I would like to point out is that instead of showing only older entries> and <newer entries as a way of pagination, you might want to consider showing the current page.

Hey there,
TechOD has amazing pictorial representation which makes interesting to co-relate the content.
I do not why? When I entered the website, the top right hand corner said "Howdy, Jason Graham". I am guest/user.
Otherwise, the page is rich in content.
