I need some ideas on how to improve my homepage. The site has a very high bounce rate. I want to get people to explore the site and the content more.

Any suggestions would be apprieciated.

Impressive logo ,
good colour scheme

Try to show latest 5 clips from each section on main page
encourage either by writing or by some kind'a of image to people to visit and explore this site

Make your prices bold , so that people can impress from your price

Well , you have a great layout and color scheme. The top part is excellent , it reveals the user the important menu from the site.

Your logo is also nice , simple , but nice.

One thing I think you can still improve is the footer

I agree, great layout and color scheme. This "might" be a good idea but feel free to ignore it.

showing thumb nail pics of the movie. Like every 20 min or something. Dunno~ just throwing some ideas for you.

How high is your bounce rate, by the way?

Your site looks ok, I can't see any obvious problems with it. I like your logo but the header image is perhaps a bit boring. But that's a matter of taste, really. I would perhaps use something with some graphics in it, not just the emblem and the name of your site.

But if you want to decrease your bounce rate I would recommend you to remove "Prices start at just $0.99" from the front page.

Videos are something that people are accustomed to get for free. If you say your price right on your front page you could be scaring a lot of people away.

But, if you get them to browse your content and find something they like and then say the price, then they could want to buy it.

I would recommend you to test this with a/b split testing to see if it helps.

how about providing some free content, especially on the front page. I would not even spend a minute on your site, as I am absolutely not interested in paying for what i can get on youtube for free. Maybe you have to tell the user whats the big deal/advantage of your site.

You could maybe provide the videos with an annoying logo in the middle, so people would know what they are getting. If they still want the stuff they can pay for the original version.

Looks pretty good.

Bounce rates depend somewhat on the search phrase used when the surfer comes into the site. For instance, if I have a site on comic books that ranks high for books, someone looking for novels will leave.

What are people searching when they come into your site?

You might want to change the color of the top menu bar links to make them stand-out. So, if someone comes in and is interested in music video or documentary, etc. those will stand out.

I think most sites have a high bounce rate, it's the nature of the web. I wouldn't worry so much about the people who are leaving as I would put my attention on the people who are staying. Give them value and they'll come back for more!

What a wicked looking website, the layout is brillient, really suttle yet prominent colours.

Your logo is really corporate yet targetted at the normal web browser, and your website is such as brillient idea, from what i know also uniqueish, not seen much of them around.

Good luck with it, sorry can't find anything to critisise it on.
