I just started a blog using wordpress. My main idea of this blog site is to have a blog with articles ranging from seo tips etc to webdesign guids and coding standards.

Just my opinion (all reviews are the opinion of the author)
- navigation tabs - gray on black background w/white lettering - not easy to see or read
- Why pay for directory links - "better for sem ??
- needs main page and selection of article types - this looks like page 2 or
where is the selection of categories
What advantage of publishing articles on your blog ??

It's not bad, but you need to do something that sets it apart from other blogs with the same topics as yours. There isn't really anything on this page that jumps out at me and makes me want to stay and actually read any tips or articles.

Just mis 2 cents!

well my basic idea my sound a little rash and maybe as a sham but this is the plan i have webblogged.com as a high pr site with SOLID content which will help people build websites and it will discuss all aspects of design, coding standards and seo. Basically if you observe there are very few ( as far as i know ) which actually have all in one place. So thats the idea. The rash/unethical part is using the high pr as a base to keep link backs etc and help my sites and maybe even other ppl's new sites as a back link. I know its not much but its worth the idea. I also plan on expanding the entire site by offering "services" which will offer seo, designs etc. I hope you get the rough idea.

Yes i agree the template is kinda dark etc but i seriously cant help it i love dark templates

1st Addressing the beginner - HTML Tutorials (either links or original)
2nd HTML Editors - many use them - some free ones are very good - how to correct coding when using HTML Editors - some have built in HTML Tidy
3rd CSS Generators - CSS Editors - HTML and CSS Validators
4th How to correct code when using CSS Editors/Generators
5th Logo and Banner Graphic Generators and drawing tools (+ templates)
- Then SEO becomes very important - should be in steps and directed toward the webmaster (such as beginner, intermediate, and advanced)
- Keyword Suggestion Tool (should use several - results are different)
- How Bloggs and forums help in pagerank
- How good are Professional (paid) SEO and which are good and which are scams
- Your personal suggestions (with portfollio to show value)
- Your help (what you will do - ie suggest changes, suggest tutorials or help forum) if join the group

Thanks. navyfalcon. That was supposed to be the end result. Sadly i think i made a huge flaw. I must have started from the basics. Ill try to patch it up.

1. Design is pretty basic and a tad bit boring. The background with the logo like that reminds me of a myspace background
2. What is going to set you apart from every other blog out there that talks about this subject? I really do not see too much that will bring me back to your blog, but I did like some of your points.
3. Credibility?? Who are you and what makes you an expert in this field? Maybe add a little about yourself in the "about" section that will provide you with some credibility.
4. To help with content for the blog, maybe allow users to submit stories (I know you mentioned this)or submit websites for you to reviews.

Overall, I like your stories and think you do provide good advice to someone new in the world of search engines etc. Keep up the good work and I hope some of the comments help!

Hmmm thanks for the input. I like the points you mentioned... Its actually a site under cunstruction. My credibility ( i am doing this for kicks ) this site itself. Its 4 -7 days ols ( i dont remember exactly but no more ) it has got indexed in google as it is. Gets upto 20 genuine visitors ( 13 genuine not for reviews from digg and other places ) a day. Adsense makes upto 30cents a day

. Just showing off. And no black hats seo done. Pure hardcore clean seo. I will release the method i use. I think many know. But id like to really prove my method ( hope i can say my method ) works.
