Interesting concept... It may be beneficial to claim one city yourself so that people can see what happens once they have claimed a city. Or show an example "fake" city that is claimed.

Good idea above!

Also, I think what may make more users do this is if the map was interactive. Where you could click the map to get to the city you want to claim.

Overall design is nice though. I suggest the map feature because I sat there and tried to click the map to get to my state and i'm sure many others will too.

Unusual concept - why only one person - what about large cities like New York - divide up the city into districts - like Queens (part of N.Y.C.) - or Los Angeles - Watts (part of L.A.) - still an unusual concept
- Map can have countries - states - cities - districts - and as said above, be active (click to enlarge, or go from country to state to city to district)
wish you luck on your project

This is definitely different.

I agree with making the map interactive and a little better looking. The map seems bland for the top of your home page. Also, I am still a little confused on the benefit of claiming a city.

The concept is great, though what happens when every city is claimed? Also the map seems rather stretched. . .

Nice design below the map however.
