I'm pretty adept at the technical side of building a site. It's the artistic side that vexes me.

Anyways, I'm about done with a vB forum site I was building as a gift for one of my brothers, but something just doesn't look quite right to me. I don't know if it is the color scheme or the graphic elements, but I'd appreciate any comments from those with an eye for these details:

trash talk sports logo move it so it is aligned with the other tables
i dont think that pink-redish color is appropriated

I'd go with white or really light grey (i know almost all forums use that but it looks nice lol)

retouch the teeth if possible (make it softer ending) but i like the teeth icon lol kick ass

beside that it looks nice

on a more personal note: add NHL !! go hockey !! lol sorry im a fan

Could explain this a bit more? I'm not sure what you mean. The open mouth, closed mouth or both? What needs to be retouched?

lol... We'll likely add a forum for hockey at some point (ie. when we have enough members who follow it). There aren't too many NHL hockey fans around these parts (Houston, TX).

Thanks for the comments. I'll continue playing with the background colors. I'm just not having much luck finding the right balance with them.

I'll also check on how to move the logo over to align it with the vB header.

yeah i would advice you on colors but im bad in colors lmao but your background colors just didnt seem right i think its the blue and the pinkish not matching.

but the mouth icons seems like they got removed from their background its not soft, lol sorry iono how to explain it but it just seem like it was removed from a pic with magic stick.

They were and I like the "pop" they have on the page.

I agree with the background colors not being quite right. I'm still experimenting there.

I know hockey is basically a niche sport outside Canada and parts of Europe.

Like I said a couple of posts up, we will add an NHL forum as soon as there are some members on the forum who want to talk about it. We've just launched the site and we don't follow it, so we didn't see a need to have an empty forum sitting there when we are trying to build the site.

P.S. You are welcome to join the forum and we'll add an NHL forum cat for you.
