Please could you review http://www.TimeDial.net

Its not really SEO tips Im after and I know it doesnt xhtml validate.

Its more about why you think nobody is linking to my site. Im having to do all the hard work of finding links with only a few people linking without promting.

Is it the design? Is the back to the future font a bit gimiky? Are there too many adverts? Is it the black background? (I like this do you?)

p.s. SEO tips are welcome but not the reason Im posting

The time on the site is scaring the people i think: It looks like a ''bomb''. Maybe the background should be in a happier color like blue.
I would change the digital clock to a normal. Also there are to many small adverts. They are disturbing.
The rest is ok.

You do not want to know the html errors?

Thanks for your comments. I have taken some of the adverts off now leaving just the adsense. Does anyone else not like the colours and digital clock?

It's a cool site but if you're frustrated about a lack of visitors I'd have to say the reason is that it's just not a extremely entertaining site. I mean, it is what it is.. can you imagine tons of users making that their homepage and getting super excited to visit that page all the time? There's not much to do.. only 4 buttons at the top.. 2 of them for the visitor to use to do cool things with the site, one to help your site grow, and one to make you money. So that means 50+% is for your own personal gain, 50-% for the user.. then some ads on the sides. You have a Google PR3, that's not bad!

I like the color scheme you've chosen. Whitespace always works.

Seems like a site made purely for adsense - I don't think you will be getting any repeat visitors - The main content is the adsense and who wants to see that!

because when I search the time for business, when I'm located in different countries, I'm lazy and just go to google and type something like 'san diego time' or 'moscow time' and here is google results

basically use the setup that www.timeanddate.com uses for keywords/SEO, but optimizate keywords for phone,calling,calling cards keywords. Make ur site spider friendly so it spiders all the Countries and Citys.

Thanks for reviewing it peeps. I agree with you about the blue text. I knd of thought that when it was done. Just about getting round to changing it. Nice to hear we are thinking the same. I think some of the grey text is not quite right yet aswell somehow doesnt all fit nicely together.

Main content is the adsense. You've got a cheek! People on forums (elsewhere) comment on how much they like the site its definatly not made for adsense. "I love the site. Finally a place that helped me find a card that didn't rip me off!!!" Annie M.

I can assure you Im trying to get in to the SERPs for long tail keywords like time in San Diego and phone cards for united kingdom. Very difficult. Its fully (on page) optimised for this. Its hard to get people to link to your inner pages like that everyone wants to link to your homepage.
