After not taking care of the page since april, i relaunched it a couple of days ago:

I am using adsense, chitika and kontera (and a snap plugin)....
I know that there are quite some Gadgets pages out there but i am focusing on
video content... Thats why i am also using the vodpod block on top of the page.

Please let me know what you think about it.

There is too much ads... I can't even read the content.

The beginning of the site is acceptable.

But I agree to Bujes, there is too much on the site, when i scroll down.
You could fill the site correctly: There is too much white border on the right below. And in the middle of the site there is too much.
It is a blind bend-site.
You have to structure the site better.
Do not add too much.

mpp, you must structure correctly: do what i call 'section each different read separately'

Separate each different reading point so that they are clearly distinguished from each other and then folk will be able to read one part and then clearly tell that part is over and the next part is beginning because it's sectioned off. This makes it much easier and people's eyes.

I like the top banner colors and design etc. Use this to your advantage and create containers for the content and separate it from each other.

well guys you know, sometimes you just have to agree and give up argueing..

Again, very nice design imo, i like it, nice containers but the main content is still not section off properly. My suggestion would be to make a mini container like you have on the left and right hand sides with the ads in etc but make it a smaller header and put each different post within one of them, al wrapped by a large container, this will structure it better.

Again the design is nice imo keep going with the good work guys... i'd like to see the front of that woman at the top of the main content lol!

Also you need to stop been whipped man! haha

I would like to say the choice of background colour is good and the site looks nice and clean. Whenyou actually loock for content you find an employeeof google has held you ransom and told you that content is king and that you need to get as much as you can into the home page. I got bored just scan srolling. I appreciate that it is a blog style but I question that any gadget geek who spends hours reading all the mags in whsmith is gonna give you the time too read through till they find something they are interested in. If they are the sort of person who is really interested in gadgets they will have lots of other ditractions to draw them from you goingon onononononon

thats hard work reading all that....

get my point...

just my opinion to give your users the choice of what they read as quick as poss

I will try to arrange single boxes for each news item.
maybe that will already help people to find the items they need a lot quicker.

ok i just made some more changes...
the adsense links and text are now black and i changed the name of the boxes that contain these ads....

i also seperated the single news a little bit more, so that the users can see when one newsitem ends and the other starts.

yes, i know it's a standard theme but i am trying to improve it a little bit more every day...
changed a couple of ads, added mybloglog and blogcatalog to bring some more traffic over to the site (well blogrush should do the same but i guess i am getting rid of it)...

I think i read somewhere that you should not distract your audience... the purpose of your site is to present gadgets news, the video clips at the top are nice but they distract from the main contents of the site.

just arranged everything in a different way.
I am pretty sure that i am getting rid of these traffic widgets soon, too

Too many ads taking up good space on your site, unless you are getting a decent amount of hits and a decent amount of click throughs, you should maybe remove the ads until you get more hits and introduce the ads back in slowly.
