Basedwork.com is a web design, development, SEO, internet marketing blog, with multiple authors, its only a few days old but it will have a lot of new content daily, just hired a few more writers, just needs a lot of work.

Any suggestions and critique welcome

The only thing I really see that could use work ASAP is the header. It's not really "inviting me" to see what you have to say. It's a little boring, although the rest of the content (to a geek like me) is exciting. The Google ads right below the header are, well...meh. I've never been one for the Google-Ad scene, maybe they could be moved elsewhere on the page. It's annoying having to scroll through adds to get to the content. (just my personal opinion). And one last thing...As a new browser of the site, I would like to know more about what you do other than what the header says, maybe expand on it some more before the newest articles so when someone goes there and reads what you're about they can be like "Yes, this is the blog for me" or "No, not really what I'm looking for" instead of this mysterious adventure through blog world. It's more of a courteous thing to newer browsers of the site.

Overall I'd say 7/10. Good site, simple and clean (which is always a good thing for tech sites containing lots of information), but I do think it could use just a smidgen more work to make it more "user-friendly". Very nice start though.

Another thing, I don't think it's necessary to have the "Pages" nav-areas on the right of every page as well as the top.

Agree with caffeine that the navigation and content should be placed ahead of the sponsor ads and recommended sites.

This site is OK and would be better but the tutorials were hard to follow, plus I noticed someone profaned, not suitable for a tutorial site.

No, it is using wordpress with a custom theme which is ok looking nothing spectacular about it. Agree with ceuyan, site can use some colors.

Agreed about the colors...way too bland. Add some color and a more vibrate header. Swirly background or something.
