Review: MixCat.com Video Sharing Section

Hi everyone! I would like hear your feedbacks on the design, layout and functionality of our new section at our site - MixCat.com Video Sharing Community http://video.mixcat.com

We have just launched it and wanted to know how it appeals to visitors.

I had no trouble accessing your site.

The site looks very nice to me. I like the colors, the layout, your logo. Everything seems to work fine as far as I can tell. Everything I clicked went where I was expecting to go.

A couple minor things:

On your front page, I expected to be able to click the images under Watch | Embed | Share . I guess I've been conditioned to think that images associated with a link will also be a a link.

To me, your tag cloud looks a bit too much like a big wall of text and not enough like a tag cloud. Maybe change the colors a little in addition to the size? But personally, I don't really care for tag clouds, so my opinion may not be worth much there.

Your slogan looks a little dull compared to your logo.

Good looking site.

Edit: Just after I posted this, I can't access your site now, also.

Not crazy about the colors. The light green on the white is tough - and the text in the headers are real hard to read.

You need to add some videos to your "Featured" section as that loads by default - and with nothing in it it makes the site look empty.

Not sure I like the footer scheme - doesn't seem to go with the rest of the upper design. Try to integrate that a little more.

It's in its soft launch phase and we are still developing it at the moment

Do you guys have any tips on how we could stand out in the competition? I mean there are really big ones out there. Any features that you feel we could have in our site to entice sign-ups for visitors and for them to start sharing their videos as well?

The Light Green and white on the headers is hard to read.

Also the icons that have blue background in a green box (Watch, Embed, Share) need to have it removed.
