Main Site:

Not bad the design is fine. Here's some things I would change:

Add some rollovers to your menu. Though you seem to be using images which might be a problem. I would suggest you use images a background if you really want but use real text over them. This is better for SEO and if people want to have images blocked.

On the main horizontal menu the tabs have a black or dark border. Remove that.

Perhaps make the footer a darker color.

Forum:

I think this needs more work. I don't like the skin but it's up to you.

My main concern is that there is no continuity from main site to forum - it's looks like it's another site.

You need to match the forum colors with the main site's colors. Also your logo should be included.

There are a lot of categories and few posts. I would suggesting cutting those back so the forum doesn't appear 'dead' to new visitors and then expanding once the activity rises.

Just my thoughts.

Pretty good.. the first one looks like a pretty classic template work.. I am not saying it is...
