Capo64 is on the right pathCapo64 is on the right path
Not too bad, I don't really like the links at the top together like that, I think if you're going to make links in a header, you should make them more noticeable as links, and not so close to each other. Maybe put a - between each of them and make the font size a little bigger?

Also, I feel like there's kind of a lot of clutter with all those pictures. You could probably clean things up a little bit by taking some of those out, or finding a way to combine them.

One last thing: I don't like text on an image background unless the image is very close to a solid color. It makes the text kinda hard to read. I would put maybe an almost clear, solid color background behind the main text.

OUch - you're selling ATV tours - MAKE IT CLEAR RIGHT OFF - Heiny's Adventures - wtf

Get some pics up, testimonials, video, stories, a community (where people can post pics logs etc.). Make it a bit more professional. The page load time in 31 seconds at 56K - ouch

Ya we are working on the testimonial part of it, and I am not sure the host is up to par for offering a community based page..I am looking into it. I am concerned about the loading time. 30 secs on dial up is a bit much. I believe it has to do with the logo itself. Kind of a big file..still working on that. Currently I have it save as a simple jpeg, the gif size of the file was bigger...yikes!

Concerning your advise about the rewrite of the code, and I have to ask, at what time do you consider (in general not directed at you pink) some of your header information as spam? Currently the site has enough Alaska Atv to rank high enough on the search engines...but where is the line exactly between loading up keywords and overloading spam?

Also, the original intent was to have a W3C valid page and site. I took your rewriting of the code and found numerous errors when validated with w3C, plus I have heard that the growing trend is to go away from tables and use div tags....
I do appreciate you taking the time to offer some different styles, so thanks

What do spiders read best should be the question!!!!

screw W3C - screw trends - IE will show a damn word file....lol

Your purpose here is to get people to sign up for tours, not comply with rules....lol

How the hell can header information be spam if you honestly tell the engines what the site is about and what the content will be....?

It's not - its helping the engines not confusing them!

I charge 100K plus for my services and you can take the advice or leave it - You're the first person on this board that actually had a service and not a scam or ad site. I help people like that.

Remember you want to be number one you have to work for it - give people what they want (safety? ease their concerns - tell them everything on your site as if you were meeting them face to face and answering questions. If a damn bear chews their foot off how you going to get them to a hospital? information-information-information,. Why should they choose you?
Put up a 5 minute video explaining why - like this (quality isn't important - load time is - http://www.forextips.com/welcometoforextips.htm
show them via video what to expect - wildlife, trails, etc. Put up a live weather cam, lots of video, and build a community - let people sell your service for you.

Page load time - 19 sec tops (at 19 seconds you will lose 75% before the page loads at 56K).

Get a good host with a decicated IP (a great host will cost 25 - 35 per month - too much of an investment - I don't think so - streaming video, dotnet, asp, php, etc., buy this damn domain name - ATVTOURSALASKA.COM is available!

Here's your competition all you have to do is beat them -
http://www.atv-alaska.com/

http://www.alaskaatvtours.com/

http://www.alaskavisitorscenter.com/...dventures.html

easy to do - they have amature sites......

with no content that page I gave you will beat them.....lol

damn I'll buy the domain and sell you leads......lol - only kidding

Awesomely beautiful...
I thank you for the direct comparison chart you made up..it is very valuable. I think when we get done doing some work, we will need you to run the comparison again..how does one go about doing something like that on their own?

Thanks for the review..

Unfortunately the software is expensive - then you have to run it for each keyword on each page.

You don't have to worry too much tho, you don't have much competition

just write down at least 10 keyword phrases that you believe people will type to find the subject for that page

Example: trail tours Alaska, atv tours archorage alaska archorage wildlife tours atv trails anrchorage trail video alaska motorized tours alaska guided tours archorage alaska etc etc

List everything in your site on the homepage.

Then make each pages unique - example for the Trail safety page - safe tours alaska trail safety archorage alaska atv safety archorage alaska and on and on

What do the links to a page say - let's see hmmmmmm "Alaska Trail safety" "ATV safety alaska" etc........lol

work each into the body and headers

what else do you give people? They can't spend all their time riding a ATV: Feasts and ceremonial gatherings, warmest months, conveniences, places to stay, how to get there, etc etc etc

Uh Oh starting to sound like a lot of work - you want it you have to work for it......

I base my rates on how hard it is to beat the competition in their area - $2.00 sounds about right for your site.....lol

got a video cam?

Pm me I'll set you up with a good host (no I don't get a kickback or own the company....lol)

Bye the way there is a question I just gotta ask - what in the hell do you have a mule pic there for - you just like mules? lol

And take those damn links to other sites off your site.... Never send your visitors away... the object of the game is to get them to take an action on your site... not send them spinning off into cyber space.

You really don't want those links there - you want your sites links there....

It's an seo friendly board, gets some posts, most seo friendly boards update as really fast.

Frequent spidering is not really helpful to your site, just lots of content and basic seo.

Get the content up and they will find it.

I use some boards (particullarly the ones that have poor moderators to slam competition).....

Not that I'm suggesting you do that for the ATV business....lol You got to know how to protect yourself first. You can get away with one or two slams tho....

so don't anonymously post bad stuff on tripadvisor.com about your competitors with the post title using their name and a word like ripoff in the title
