I don't know much about that CMS, maybe not very customizable? If so there is nothig you can do! But otherwise, I would put a bit more work into it.

Agreed on the work part.

I use it's cousin SMF and both are very powerful.

If you are going with the marketing focus for your forum you need to have more graphically compelling site IMO

I may run out of proxies if I keep getting the boot from all the others.....lol

I see there are a bunch of spammers hitting it -

Not much money to be made off me - I have nothing to promote and no following :-(

But I will make a deal with you - put the "Online Marketing and Advertising " after the titles in the post section and let me use it to - aaaaahhh post some stuff that may seem silly once in a while -
and I will write some good "real" seo articles and answer real questions on the board without being a smart ass.

It's hard to keep a good platform to do some of my (side work) with now-a-days (some mods actually read this stuff) - I always try to get permission when I can .......lol

I'll visit it and write up some stuff (got a week or so before those 14 hour days start up again - my chair gets lonely) ... I should get the boot from here soon

In the mean time you can use this content (I never optimized it to get it out there - just referred clients to it before I met them) it's old, but change the content around and make it yours - what do I care.....lol (I'd have posted just the IP and the page but the morons have a messed up server now - leave um alone for a few weeks and see what happens ....lol) - http://www.forextips.com/webhelp.htm (it goes to another site for page 2 not my site either - I don't have a site - don't want one - don't need one....lol) It's not his work - PFB did it.

Nope, I don't advertise online! I sub-contract to some big marketing companies and pick up a few here or there..

It's advice for people wanting to hire a developer. that other site used the second and third page (with my permission) they changed it around - just remove and ad what you want and change it around a bit to make it yours. I left the first page on that other site up because some people are still referred to it

That company is nice enough to let me use their servers from time to time to stream video, use their flash communication server, dot net stuff and I throw them high end clients on their servers (gov, financial, etc). (I sold the company a while back - it was bought out by a company that is a backbone provider), they also kept the employees that I hand picked, most of whom still do side work with me). So am I advertising for them - no, they don't need a post on a bb.....lol.

can't tell you how many times some poor slob has been ripped off by a developer who gave them what they asked for instead of actually doing what was needed it.

LOL, it boils down to this. If the people who want a web deveolped knew what they were doing they wouldn't need a developer - most seo guys and webmonkeys just slap up what the customer wants, take the money and run.

That's like going into the doctors office and telling him how to proform surgery and the doctor doing it.....

The article gives some sound advice with no ads. I'm sickened by the stories I hear from clients that were ripped off by seo jockies and webmonkeys. The small business guys can't afford someone like me to fix it. So I pro bono from time to time.

I have to believe you talked to your client about my offer. There I go assuming! I want to use the board to do some stuff that may seem a bit unethical from time to time and not have to change my damn IP every time I do it, I'd rather do it with permission and am willing to pay for it with time and effort.
In order for that board to be of use to me, it has to be popular. I'm willing to help make it popular.
