5 Tips to writing better Page Titles for SEO

Here are a few writing tips for writing better page Titles for SEO. You can write the best article in the world but don't forget to use the tips mentioned.

Quote:
If Iím allowed to pick just one SEO metric thatís most important out of all that I knew, then that would be the Page Title. Why ? Let me explain.

First, let me clarify what SEO Page Titles are. Page Titles are the long piece of text thatís displayed on the browser, not your post (on the content.)

Many people confuse the Post Title to Page Title, because most of the times both of them are the same. Not all the time. To explain that further, letís go straight to the tips.

I could of put this blog post in for the SEO Tip of the Day but i thought it's helpful for the writers we have on here.

3-Step Cure for Boring, Useless Content

Just a little blog post to read if you are bored.

Quote:
Letís face facts. Most online content is lousy.

Itís too focused on the content creator. It doesnít make the lives of readers, listeners, and viewers better. An overcrowded content marketplace filled with diverse online text, audio, and video leaves little room for tolerance of the same old marketing spiel.

Bored surfers simply hit the back button and go elsewhere to find interesting content.

To succeed, you need to provide value that rises above the noise.

How do you do that? To make your content marketing engaging, you have to temporarily quit thinking (and writing) like a marketer.

Instead, think like a journalist Ö specifically, like a trade journalist.

An embedded journalism approach gets you to change gears, to switch your focus to truly serving your readers.

Service is the operative word, a concept discussed....

How to Beat the 3 Types of Writerís Block

Got writer's block?

Quote:
Itís just about the least fun part of being a writer, and one of the big stumbling blocks a lot of businesses face with content marketing.

You never seem to have enough ideas.

Or you have a bunch of ideas, but you donít quite get around to writing them.

Or you start a dozen different projects, and manage to finish half a page on each one.

Itís maddening, and itís got to stop.

And then, some non-writer rolls his eyes at you and says something trite like Ö

6 Ways to Supercharge Your Writing

I can't seem to wake up this morning. I need coffee.

Quote:
Have you ever gotten so caught up in a deadline (or your own expectations) that writing anything at all felt Ö uncomfortable?

Too often as writers we measure ourselves by our level of productivity. We get so worried about being productive that we forget to enjoy ourselves.

Hereís the rub: if you arenít enjoying your writing you arenít truly being productive.

Give me six minutes and Iíll give you six techniques thatíll make you a happy and productive writer.

MORE When you stop feeling happy ó or good about your work ó you lose motivation.

If you lack motivation you wonít get much accomplished. I know you know this, but Iíd be willing to bet youíve never created a happiness system.

3 Steps to Finding Your True Writing Voice

Grab a cup of coffee for this blog post. This is from the copyblogger blog.

Quote:
As a professional copywriter, thereís one question that tends to pop up constantly from my readers and clients Ö ďCan you teach me to write like you?Ē

My knee-jerk answer is usually something like, ďUm. No. There is no other like me! I reign supreme! Me! Me! Me!Ē

OK, Iím not really that egocentric.

But I do typically respond with something along the lines of ďIíd love to teach you how, but I donít know how I do it Ö I just do it.Ē And then I run off to a dark corner somewhere to eat sweet potato French fries like theyíre going outta style.

Writing meaningful, effective content day in and day out is difficult. To say the least.

Iíve thought a lot about how I get it done, and have come up 3 steps that serve me well, over and over again.

At least, itís how I think I get it done

One thing that many people forget to do is to be extremely observant of the things going on around them. If you take yourself away from the screen and head out to see what's going on within the streets it can work wonders.

I find that seeing how businesses market themselves, how people interact, and what makes the town lively can give you insight that can spur ideas for a creative piece of content.

These are useful tips. But sometimes, even when every single thing that has been said and done, all to no avail, I still can't write.

I used to write articles one after another because I was beating deadlines, causing me in the end (the last article and the easiest at that) with a writer's block, I don't even know what to write to begin with even if I have the title staring at me. My friend came to my rescue and told me that my brain is not a production line. Rest when you need it. Simply said but it works.

How to Make Your Writing Real

This was a good blog post to read while sipping on some coffee.

Quote:
In this day and age, substance matters.

What you say must be meaningful to the people youíre trying to attract.

Your content must solve real problems and satisfy real desires.

So why should it matter how you say it?

The reality is, how you say it has always mattered, and it matters even more today.
For content marketing, itís basically the difference between success and failure.

Youíre in a battle for attention. A headline that doesnít....

Proper Usage Of The Comma

This is something that i have trouble with sometimes.

Quote:
Thereís nothing like grabbing your attention by using a title that includes a parody from a Culture Club song from the 1980s!

Chameleons are known to change colors and adapt to their environment. This works as a great defense mechanism for them so they donít become a hungry predatorís prey. Much like the Chameleon blends in with its surroundings, the comma should blend into your sentence and make it flow. If not, a hungry predator could come along and swallow your article whole!

Letís take a look at a few rules for the comma:

When blogging, to keep your readers following you til the very end of your post, try to use a variety of different organizational patterns such as mixing up short and long sentences. Or using some independent clauses. And some dependent ones! English grammar should be fun!

Try to reference clue words from English grammar such as first, second, lastly, in addition to,etcÖ if you have a topic that will span several paragraphs.

Why You Hate Writing, And How to Lust After the Blank Page Again

Nice blog post.

Quote:
The blank page is a damn nightmare.

The writers of the ages have feared it more than evil spirits, wasting disease and visiting in-laws.

Yet, if you want something to happen, youíve got to spill the ink on that thing.

Youíve got to do it every day.

Like a detective, the writer is always digging.

And when that digging unearths ideas, the writer is desperate for a way to get them down.

The pain of facing a blank page is cured by facing what youíre not doing.

And what youíre not doing, is making three simple moves to correct this ancient problem.

I usually get those ideas flowing when I am travelling or driving. I type the ideas in my memo or when driving try my best not to forget them. Reading forum posts and articles published by my friends in the same niche also helps.
