How Many Pages Should I Write Before I Start A Website?

I want to start a website about softball. How many pages should I make before I officially launch the site and put it online? I at least want some. Would 10 articles be enough?

At least you must have index page and sitemap page. Also add contact and about us page for better view. After that you can start promotion and also keep updating pages.

If it is a blog you can just start with one or two articles and an about me page. That is what I did, and I think someone else said they did the same. NOW, if what you want is to create a website with numerous pages then I think ten articles focusing on different aspects of softball should be more than enough.

I'd think that 10 articles would be sufficient.

More importantly though, I'd suggest sketching out at least a rough idea (something of a roadmap) of where you want to take your site. While you can certainly make adjustments as you develop your site, having an idea where you're going may help save you from having to do a lot of rework to your site.

At the risk of being repetitive.....
I started a blog with one page and an about me page...
I have over 3000 backlinks and have received over 1200 comments.....

It all depends on your goals...
Don't make any harder that it has to be....

You can start with just one article but having 5-10 articles will be good. If you have more than 5 webpages then the site will not look like a spam site(probably).

quality over quantity every time. No one wants to sift through dozens of pages to find an answer. keep it short.

I will say if you work on 15 articles would be sufficient.

Also work on your plan as well I mean where you wanna see your website after one year what are the ways which will increase traffic and much more things need to think......

It really doesn't matter how many pages you start with as long as you are continually adding new content. Google really likes word press right now so a blog platform might be best. Just publish 2 articles and continually add a new one every other day. Build back links and create value and people will come back. Just don't expect to make money overnight.

I don't think there is a minimum amount of articles you need to have written before you launch your website. Keep in mind that its usually good to start a website and then progressively write content that the search engines can find. Of course the more content you start with the better, but there are no written rules to how many articles you must have before you put your site on the internet.

i don't think you need to start with the number of articles. i think you have to make sure first if you're gonna be dedicated to it. even if you have a lot of pages, if you get bored with it. it wouldn't matter any how

There's no standard for the number of pages. But a good rule of thumb for the type of pages you would want to have:

Main
About
Contact
TOS
Privacy Statement

Cheers!

It is advised that the more pages you have, the more visits you get. Some websites have lots of article for the purpose of being more visited website

what I think is you don't need to think for that, you can just start your blog with 1 article but the thing is you post daily and unique and informative posts, that is the only key for successful blogging
