The importance of site content.

Am I the only one that realize you can achieve a page rank just by your content along. That google does rate your content and you can get high up on the serps as long as you keep your keyword density in mind.,

Very true, but you need to keep it at a min. Good SEO is only 2% density because anything more seems unnatural.

Both on-page and off-page SEO are important; however, the off-page link-building is what will get your site ranked. Although on-page factors are important, using on-page factors alone will NOT get your website ranked in the top ten, probably not even the top 100 for keywords that are even mildly competitive!

I think quality content is crucial, particularly because Google LOVES content. Yet, you should not underestimate the importance of off-site SEO factors like forum and blog posting as well as article writing and submitting.

On that same note, I want to make reference to what Sarah said about keyword density being only 2%. There really is NO exact or correct kw density. I think it is all relevant and the keywords should be added naturally. The content should have a balance between keywords and information and should never be stuffed with keywords. On that same note, if a keyword does not fit in naturally DON'T put it in that particular sentence. You are better off leaving the keyword out than having a sentence read as gibberish instead of English.

I can see where content alone can get a high SERP...
If your content is relevant for a very low competition keyword or long tailed phrase, it could rank #1, particularly if the site is optimized and the content is pretty good....

(my opinion)

I have no doubts that content is the King. I see no options to continue off-page seo or even on-line business if you dont have a good content.

With optimized web site content will ROCK.
If you have a HQ content, other people will link to you without asking or paying them.
I had more than 150 new posts in the last 3 months and I jump from PR2 to PR4.

Very good content are articles with more than 400 words, with a good header and keywords in the link.
Also if you have some original photo which people will take from your web site or blog and than say that is courtesy from you.

too much use of keywords make things artificial... kepp it natural around upto 3% density... if you want more than look for someone really able to use too many keywords in natural way
