There are several things you can do to avoid the duplicate content filter like http://www.webconfs.com/similar-page-checker.php. This can help you create unique content, or even address the issue of someone borrowing or copying your content without your permission.

Here 's some guideline on how to find a website with duplicated issues: http://www.searchenginejournal.com/h...t-issues/7202/

Have you read the advice that's been mentioned already in this thread?

Also one more thing to check out is in your google webmaster tools account if you have one. Take a look at this page to read what you can check in your webmaster tools account that is helpful.

Many tools like Copyscape, Similar Pagechecker, Article checker, Duplicate content tool etc. are available. Many of them are free while some have both free(limited functionality) and paid version(with many additional features, of course). These tools helps you in comparing text write-up with content on the Internet, content comparison of two different website to check content theft.

There are lots of mentioned software in order for you to check the duplicate
contents. You can also type the exact article title in Google and definitely you will
see if there is an article existing just like what you have.

If you are going to use CS then you may require uploading the content in your website's folder. Once your content is available through a url then it is easy to check the duplicates by CS url tool.

I do it the manual way. Copy the last paragraph of the content, which is not manipulated by most copiers. Then search it in google with quotes. You will get to know that your content is copies or not.

I check my content like paktangent. I copy from the middle of a one sentence to the middle of the next and paste it in Google with quotes. It works if you have not much article to check. If you have a lot of content to check, then I can recommend you to use CopyScape or some other website for content checking.

Google parts of it like the sentences and try translating it with babelfish to see if it's legit and not copied or formed from another article's structure.

I avoid to use CopyScape, because they ask too much money for something, which you can do yourself. But it's easier to use copyscape indeed. You choose, comfort or not

Easiest way it to just take a few paragraphs from the content and paste it into google and see what comes up. It should be pretty obvious if someone has just given you a copy pasta.
