How can we improve our sales page? Pls help

Hi.

We have created a sales page to sell a lifetime membership on EcoFirms.org. We have hired a specialist to design our dedicated sales page but it's not converting as much as we had hoped for. Could we get some advice on how we could improve our sales page to get more conversions. Pls see our sales page here

Any help, comments, advice will be greatly appreciated. We're a non profit organisations so our resources are limited.

Thank you!

Try some effective promotion method. In this case I think social media (twitter, myspace, facebook) will do a very good job. Try it. In addtion you can also do some Press releases. Hope this will help.

Hi,

I hope I am not critisising too much but your page looks more like a spam email than a business website. Try to make the design more elegant, don't put everything on one page, and specially don't put banners with 100% satisfaction in the center of the page, where the content should be.

The website is in my opinion disturbing to the eye, and that is the first thing you have to fix as even if you get visitors they might run away.

Get some inspiration from already successfull business and from thousands of free templates you can find on the web.

I would start by explaining what EcoFirms.org is. You can do it in a few sentences or so, but if you're telling me about the benefits of something, I need to know exactly what that something is.

The content you have on there is a little...busy. You have logos, boxes, and screenshots all over the place. To me, it was distracting. It was really hard to scan (which most people are going to do. They'll scan first to see if it's worth their time to actually read. If they like what they see, then they'll read each word)

I would add more content if I were you. That way, you can explain things without making it look like a sales letter. You want it to provide information, THEN go in for the hard sell.

Man it is pretty clean, and I understand the overall green theme but I would try to highlight some things or your main focus the checkout with some sort of contrast color. I get less enthused about the offering as I read, which is obvious the opposite of what makes money. just my opinion though

When I look at that page, I ask myself, what are the benefits? A website on your site that I can put 50 items into? What if I already have a site? What if I don't have any items?

If I sign up, I get referrals, of what? How many are already signed up? Is it something new or will I really benefit from it?

To me, it just looks like you are jumping on the green movement trying to make a buck. Sorry, that's just the way it comes off. OK, if I sign up, it's cheap and I get a fuzzy feeling for saving X amount of forest. OK, so how much of my contribution went to that?

For me, as a business owner, green or not, I'm looking for benefit. Or I'm looking for value to add to my offerings for my customer. With what I seen on that page, I'm sorry, but I can see why it's not converting. I see nothing to try to weigh my benefits vs cost on that page at all. Millions of visitors, hype. Leads from other members, hype. Lifetime membership, hype.

You generated plenty of emotion and excitement but lost everything because I question your authority. Nothing there I can grab onto and figure out what it's going to get me for my return. Not to mention, if I'm green and geographically limited, all the more for me to question this huge visitor base from so many countries. How many of them are within my service area? Lets face it, if I'm stuck in PA USA, I get no benefit from Bumblip Egypt referrals.

Show me the CLEAR benefits of your offering to me. Give me metrics I can apply to my business goals. Then, if I can weigh the benefits being more than the investment, or find a way to justify the investment, I might convert. Basically, to me, what I seen on that page was all the ways of helping you because I couldn't see how feeding into the hype was going to help me.

This to me looks like a blatant spam thread.

They are selling millions of hits per month to websites? Surely they can just use their own product?

You may be right, and I might agree, but I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt in case honest help is what they wanted ASIDE from trying to spam

I agree, it can also serve as social proof, that you're out there connecting with your audience, great advice!

It's pretty LOUD. I get you're trying to capture the attention of your visitors but I think you could scale it back a bit. It looks more like copy and design you'd see on a "wanted poster" as opposed to a business. You should talk more about who you are and what you do at the start of the page, right now you just have a couple of lines about who you are, then dive right into the pitch.

Sales pages generally take a great deal of time establishing the visitor's problem, in your case their problem is they aren't getting enough exposure to their eco website. Expound on this a bit at first and especially establish yourself and talk yourself up a lot more so the visitor gets the sense that this isn't just a sales pitch from a random company, looks a bit spammy in that sense.

It's reassuring that you have a PR3 so clearly you're somewhat established, but most people have no sense of what that means if they can even see it in their setup.

edit: I also like the idea of adding social proof of some sort, possibly listing other sites which have signed up for your service.

I think it is not only the design that you need to work on. Since you are selling a service, you need to convince your visitors, and this is where good content will come in handy.

One reason is that you're website is not the only one that provides the same services. Check your competitors and look at what they do. A sales page with good design isn't good enough. It should explain what is it all about.

Get more traffic on your site as you don't have to much. Targeted traffic.
Also consider placing up on the page the registrations button.
Maybe I just want to give you money ( not to read the information ) and I'm lazy to do scroll ( read I don't know where it is ).

Hi,
I think The biggest factor in improving sales page conversion rates is
making sure that there are no obvious leaks or holes where the
reader will be turned off enough to leave. It doesn’t take much
for that to happen. The headline is the first absolutely
critical area, and the vast majority of sales page testing
related to the headline.

I have just visited the sales page and I saw your offer 49$ for life time membership. Here you may need to do some reasoning. If someone pays you 49$ then you are committed to offer him a life time membership. So how will raise fund for running your system in longer time and you say you get very poor conversion? Suppose you could make the offer split 49$ for life time membership and 5$ for one year then you would see an increase in the conversion for sure.

how about adding some testimonials. I know that I really like to read what others using a product or service think about it before I buy. You are telling us what you offer, but you are not telling us how it can help us and why we need it. I want to know what will happen AFTER I give you my money.

What about highlighting some important parts? Try using different colored fonts..because visitors normally do not have the patience to go through long pages..
