I know that EzineArticles is the top article directory. Who are from your experience the next 4 best articles directories?

I'm glad to see squiddo on the list. It's often a forgotten way to advertise your niche but has great results if used with our article submission services.

articlesbase.com only provide nofollow links. knol.google.com doesn't give good SEO unless your article is really good. EzineArticles is good but, it's very picky. They really read and deny your article if it's not good enough. hubpages doesn't allow any PR or SEO.

Try Ezinemark. It's not top 5, but it's relatively fair enough.

All I know is ezinearticles...Many people say goarticles is great but i have many article submitted to them but they were'nt counted as backlink..

Same experience here with GoArticles. I haven't seen any of its link appear in any backlink software I use. So am not sure if it counts as a backlink.

ezinearticles.com and articlesbase.com have nofollow links, unless I'm grossly mistaken. I like Squidoo, Hubpages, and Wizzley, as those have dofollow links (you have to meet certain criteria however before they become dofollow).

Hubpages and EZA has become real strict after the panda update. Particularly for hubpages, the panicky folks are taking down pages like nobody business. I've several pages taken down just because they think its is niche with many spammers, but I'm not even one of them.

All of those articles submitted are not even spun.

That said, HP articles get indexed pretty fast, which is a good thing in my view.

Hubpages and Squidoo etc are NOT article directories only!

In my opinion other than these almost all our very bad like Articledashboard.com
articlegold.com

But I would like to add to this, i found Smartbananas.com very proffesional and liked them, my main two are EZ and SB, even articlesbase is loaded with crap,

I have tested this and EZ takes a very long vigorous waiting process and once up my article is indexed in 5-24 hours, and smartbananas use to take anywhere between 2-10 hours sometimes withing 1 hour,even sometimes with EZ once it took 1 hour, Smartbananas is in a Upgrading mode at the moment so they are not accepting the articles right now but have an alternative to EZ until SB is back up from 17th Nov.

Aside from ezine I've used Articlecity and GoArticles.com. Squidoo and Hubpages are great too! So far, these are the article directories I've used.
