There isn't a perfect length for your articles. While some may feel the right length runs to 1,000 words, many others will say 400-600 words is the magic place to be. Yet many article writers turn out huge numbers of articles in the 300-400 range and achieve good success with their article marketing efforts. While it is likely ineffective to go below 300-350 words, the right number of words is the number it takes you to accurately communicate relevant information on that chosen topic.

I use 350-400 word articles on most of my blogs and they do quite well as long as the content is creative, informative and unique. This is as long as nobody steals your articles. that is why its good to check your sites in premium copyscape regularly.

The right length for an article is 400 - 600 words.

If you can't succinctly convey your message and some relevant information in that wordspace you are waffling too much.

Be concise and edit your own work so there is not too much guff.

People switch off once they see guff.

I always go for 400 to 500 words not more than that. Also I divide them into small paragraphs as long ones do tend to send the visitors away. Proper use of Caps, comma's is also what I pay attention on while writing/buying articles.

Articles Length - 500+ words (depending upon your niche some articles should be longer).

Blog Post - Anything under 400 words is a blog post in my opinion and not an article.

This topic very interesting

It's so interesting; otherwise, there wouldn't be many replies. Permit to jump in as well.

To me, I prefer "quality" rather than "length". I'm also a reader and a searcher online, I find myself keen to read the quality content as long as it may be. However, poor articles never engages me for 3 minutes.

For readers, they are okay whether the quality content is split into 2 or 3 parts since they are interested or find it useful; they will continue reading. For publishers, they gain benefits in terms of page quantities and Search Engine Optimized keywords (the more pages they create, the more keywords they can optimize).

I agree that people now are busy and move very fast online. However, when they find something interest them, they will slow down and read. If they don't have time reading it now, they will perhaps bookmark it. I've done this so far.

My conclusion is that "length" doesn't matter, but "quality" does matter. It's just my opinion, anyway.

Not necessarily, but you can divide it into sections and put some title for each one. I am doing product reviews and it is usually about 700 words. What helps is the format (different paragraph for different points).

Eg.

Product Description

This company sells....

Competitors

Two major competitors of this company are....

Pricing

This company has affordable range of.....

Hope this helps.

It depends on the subject you write.
An articles in 400 to 500 words will be the best.

Minimum 500 is required because some of the sites do not allow you to submit article for less then 500..So it is the standard limit.

300 words is not an article, that is a blog post. Google wants content and high quality content at that. I know many seen to think if they submit short articles to those adsense farms then their sig shows closer to the top.

Still does not change the fact you are submitting to a adsense farm article directory and many possible visitors will click those links before your sig.

Before I submit articles, I make it sure that it's above 500 words as some good article directories only approve articles with 500 words up.
