Question What do you mean by Great Content ?

I read always everywhere that your website should have great content. But what exactly do people mean by great content ? I do not understand. Please Help. Elaborate with some example ?

Well there's no straight forward answer to this, but I believe it's when you provide new insight, did good research, not duplicate anything, provide something that people would find interesting...

I guess try to do some search in topics you are interested in. The first few that comes up in Google are most often examples of "great" content seeing as they are ranking.

By great content, people really mean producing content that is relevant, unique, and helpful to your potential user's needs. For example, if you have a business that sells electronic gadgets to geeks, then you might want to create a lot of content about how to use these gadgets, how to get the most out of these gadgets, the latest trends in electronic industry, etc.

You have SEO executive listed in your profile and you don't know what great content is?

A great content is informational and engaging. It has to be able to capture the reader's attention. It has to make the reader want to visit again the site where the content is posted.

If the content get the public attention. Also if it is written as per the audience point of view then i would call it a great article. I have seen many people who write content to make it marketing gimmick.

According to me, if a content is a fresh, unique, well written, informative, "What I am Looking For", then it's a great content.

Great content means having content that is not keyword stuffed for the purpose of search engines, content that is quality, content that solves a problem, content that is unique and the one that will engage people who read it.

The question is very general and obvious, nonetheless we don't think if there is a best answer for this type of questions. A fresh, useful and on demand content is a great content and can drive a lot of traffic.

A great content always include all the information about the topic in all aspects.
You may cover the topic from past events to the present state. You may include some
negative points about the topic.

Great content would mean that your website answers the basic needs of people who jump on the internet. Those needs would be entertainment, information, or products. Your content should be fresh like someone else mentioned.

A great content shouldn't give false information, the idea should be unique!

It shouldn't be based on keywords that is not helpful in SEO today, if you are using one keywords again and again in your content. It should maintain follow, start with introduction and end with conclusion.

Any general people can understand easily..

This is a great question. I would take it as knowing what you're talking about. Too many website publish average content on basic stuff that they themselves probably have no experience doing.

I think, I've less to contribute here as all the aspects of a good web copy have already been mentioned by some members. I will just add along that 2013 onward, besides good content, author-rank too shall hold substantial weightage. So, if you are proven author able to influence and engage audience through his/her writing style, edge is all yours!

You should have great content for your readers. Content is king. No one would visit your site if you have crappy stuffs. They come to you because you have some great things that they want to see. No SEO techniques will help you to go further if you do not have a good content.

I think great content is unique and quality content written by your own not with the help of software's. If you are taking about blog posts 1000+ words posts will be much informative and will be helpful for your readers too. So it would be a great content.
