Lightbulb Which tools you require to write an article?

Ok I put it in this way what are the online tools you prefer to use while writing...

I like to keep Google trends, Google adwords, Google as Search Engine.

How about you?

I'm still using Google adwords for estimating UV per month of the keyword
and then go to yahoo answer and answering related questions with my keyword, that's it

I don't use any tool's. I just type away and publish the blog post without worrying about keywords or anything else. I try to not write for the search engines and explain things so the visitors and understand better.

It depends on what I'm doing but I like the obvious:

!Yahoo's - Today's hot topics - to find out major audiences
Topsy - for figuring out the social sphere and find out what else is hot
Touchgraph - to find /research places that might enjoy my publication and republish it.
GDocs headline generator - For guest post inspiration
Copyscape
Plagarism Checker
IFTTT - to help get what I write 'out there'
Dustball
grammarly [dot] com
Any reverse dictionary / theasaurus - wordsmyth [dot] net
polishmywriting [dot] com
coolestwords [dot] com
Govt sites - for research

I basically just work out an article for my article, and type away just like snakeair. Sometimes I do use article submission sites just like Ezine Articles, to get some ideas, but I prefer the simplicity and the time efficiency of just writing what I know or think.

I don't look at SEO before I write, maybe I should do though, but if I did I might start writing for Search Engines and not people.

There's no problem in using any tools in writing an articles. But in my opinion, the effective way to write an article is write what you have got and what are your audience wants to know. It is better if you will understand your readers so you know whats the best topic that you'll write for them.

This is the kind of content that actually deserves to rank high in the search engines. When one decides to write for a keyword they often create content that sounds unoriginal to the audience. If you write for your visitors then there's a much larger chance that someone will share the content on social media websites like Facebook and Twitter.

All my blog content is typed up and submitted without using any kind of tools. I have a regular following on my blog and I pretty much know what what interests many of them and why they keep coming back so I continue to create content that I know they will be interested in and that also interests me knowing I have the knowledge to make my articles relevant and interesting.

In my opinion the most important tool for writing content is your sense and ability to pick the topics and explaining them. If you can do that properly, you dont need any other tool at all.

I always focus on useful, effective and purposeful article. I use tools (google trends, google adwords, google auto suggestions), and sources (blog, forum, question and answer sites) only for selecting right topic related to my theme and niche. After selecting right title, I focus to explain the topic without concerning keywords.

Mohitmathur,

I use Google as a resource for finding information to do research and a basic Word processing program and that’s about it. I do like to optimize posts for search but I like to make sure the post is first written for readers. I find that when article are run through too many online tools for optimization, they become dry and lifeless.

Best,

Shawn

I use MS Word to write articles so that my spelling and grammar mistakes are high lighted..

Of course, I do take help of Google search for researching the subject.

I feel when you require tools to write a post it is like handing over the charge of your blog post to web. If you have a great content you don't need any tool. Because as Shawn said if we rely so much on the outer peripheral of the content the natural pull will vanish.

Keep your content lively with tool or without tool it doesn't really matters. If you have a content of huge respect it is not important you used the tools or not.

Anyways thanks for the Great Insights...

We only use the Google Adwords tools to get the right keywords. Then just write in a proper way. Write for humans, not for search engines.
