Today the keywords density around 1 to 2%. Make use of Synonyms of the keyword because using exact match keyword again and again can lead to penalty as it will be considered as keyword stuffing.

Thanks for your reply.
But we are new, so not sure what you mean.
Can you tell the number of times
The primary keyword needs to be used
In a 1000 word article?

You just need to write in a natural way and it depends how many times it appears in a natural way it doesn't matter but each time use a different variation of the same keyword.

The short answer to your question would be that there isn`t an ideal number of times (keyword density) you should use the main keyword.
I think that an optimal keyword density is a myth although there are some "gurus" who would disagree.
Your main focus should be to write naturally. If the text flows naturally, then it is ok.
I think that more important than the quantity should be the quality (places you put the keywords). You should use the keywords in the page title, the meta description, the page links and the headings.

So it means that when you write a 1000 word article
There is no specific number of times
In which the primary keyword has to be used?
That makes it confusing.
Thanks for sharing the info.
Regards.

That`s kind of the idea. Make sure to use the keywords but in a natural way.

PS: You should also use it in the first paragraph of the text (forgot to mention that)

You can use 8-9 times not more than that, because if you use more than 10 times, keyword density will become more which is not good for seo and google will penalize you.

8-9 not more than that, however you can use synonyms if you like to but be careful because using same words in an article will decrease your page quality.

Ok, so you mean to say
It is okay to use 9 10 times
The primary keyword
In a 1000 word article?
Is that right?
Regards

This is confusing
As we are trying to determine
The number of times a keyword has to be used
In a 1000 word article
But we are not getting that answer.

Hey VeeNRic,

I am agree with HCFGrizzly's statement that you should use the targeted keyword in specific areas like: The title, Meta description, inside a <h2> heading, on image alt attribute (if you are using an image on your post) and of course your content (But don't just fill your content with the keywords only).

I will say some 1 - 2% of the actual number of words in an article will be fine. Now if you will go for the calculation, for a 1000 words articles you require 10 to 20 keywords and that is what treated as somewhat cleaner article. Sometimes I ended up with even less keywords; I am unable to place even 10 keywords in an article of 1000 words. Because I don't want to make the whole article a mess just to place some more keywords.

There are some SEO plugins on WordPress which will guide you exactly what you have missed in your post for a particular Keyword targeted article.

Disclaimer:
I don't know how much really useful are these plugins.

How can you make a statement about what a SEO plugin will do, then in the next breath are not sure how useful they are??

Yes, I do agree with HCF Grizzly, making use of keywords at different levels in a proper manner.
