The keyword search is a great idea that I have not tried. I generally just keep a running list in a notebook and often times the topic I think of will spin off a couple of good related topics. From there it is just finding the time to write the posts.

When I fall short of blog post ideas, I visit the different forums I am involved with. I am new here.

So, what I do is that I engage with people and see some unresolved problems. If I think I can help with that or there's a solution waiting to happen, I write about it. Other times, I think of one post from different perspectives and then the ideas start popping up.

That's what works for me!

Most of the times I end up watching a movie instead of writing blog posts because of lack of ideas, and sometime I go to neighborhood websites and see what they are writing about and then I come back and start writing my own articles.

I go to my competitors website and check what they are doing. I always love shortcuts.

forceful ideas won't be appealing, don't push yourself unnecessarily. Focus on what you are passionate about.

@Prikass, I'm pretty impressed with your reply. The OP can now go home.

very good advice.

I follow similar ways of finding new topics to write about.

I also agree with the other poster above, who says to focus on things you are passionate about (and have interest/knowledge on).

In my opinion, you should take a rest, go traveling or use social media, maybe you will find out some great ideas.

Ideas do not hit to us whenever we want. thats why you need to record every new think which comes in your mind on the spot. your mobile is best tool you can get for that because its with you everywhere so you can record it or make a note for it.

and still you are short for ideas then think something odd or crazy about that topic and it will increase itself on paper.
